I have stayed at this hotel 2 times prior and had no issues until our 3rd stay. When we entered the room, we noticed that it was a little chilly so tried turning up the heat on the thermostat. An hour after doing that, we noticed the temperature in the room had gone from 16 degrees, to just 18.5 degrees. We called the front desk to see if they could have someone come in and when they did, they pulled out a very old filter from the vents that looked as though it hasn't been changed in a long time! He told us it'd take about 5 minutes for the heat to pump in and after waiting about 20 minutes in a still freezing hotel room, we called the front desk again to see if we could just switch rooms instead. They informed us that they could switch us but that it wouldn't make too much of a difference because the heating system in the entire hotel was down and was currently being repaired. He also informed us that they were giving out space heaters but were out of them and couldn't provide us with one. He assured us the heat should be up and running soon but we ended up having to sleep in a very cold hotel room the entire night... on New Years! When we checked out, I noticed all the employees were in their coats at the front desk so I am assuming they were not successful in fixing the problem. I've also noticed the main elevator seems to be always under repair and never running! The rooms are good and I like the idea of having a kitchenette but I am very disappointed in the way the entire situation was handled and will most likely not be coming back to stay here again.

We had to go for a 2 bedroom suite since they were almost out of rooms. It was a too much for just two folks. Having said that, the room was in great shape - clean and well arranged. They have 3 TVs apparently (one in each bedroom and one in the living room). The kitchen was good and all the basic utensils were already there. They also provide a coffee machine with coffee, tea bags, sugar etc. However, if you are looking for salt or any condiments - hard luck. We reached late in the evening and while cooking, we discovered that there isn't any salt in the room. There are a couple of convenience stores around but none that have any sachets of salt or a salt in smaller quantity.

If you like the internet, do not stay here as the maximum speeds attainable on your phone is 0.7Mb. Laundry is very pricey at $4 per load. Staying here for several weeks, this adds up. Walls are paper thin. If you like hearing your neighbours clearing their throat, then stay here indefinitely!

Overall, it's a great place to be - especially if you want to cook yourself during the stay. The next best option you can get after Airbnb.

In the hospitality business if you sacrifice comfort for a few dollars you're guest will notice it!

My boyfriend used to stay here for months at a time for work. Little shop at the front is my personal favourite touch when you're craving a midnight snack. Breakfast is awesome, dinner is inconsistent - one night, there were plates of cookies out for dinner. Staff is friendly, but I find night staff at front desk can be off their game sometimes. Have had some mornings (on ground level) where housekeeping will have loud discussions in front of my door. For long stays, I appreciate the staff for making the weeks comfortable. Lighting needs to be improved in the rooms though!

A good place to stay, especially for a family or a large group of people since they also have 2 bedroom suites. The big plus for Extended Stay is that is one of the very few hotels that have a kitchenette which is very helpful for people with special dietary needs and want to cook their food themselves.

The service, overall, is good. They have a good spread in the breakfast with bagels, toasts, juices, coffee, milk, slices of bread, cereals, scrambled eggs etc. They even have an evening snacks bar - which I haven't seen in any other Extended Stays (in the US) - but we never got a chance to see that as we were out on all evenings of our stay. The staff was good, quite helpful.

House keeping is poor, wireless internet is incredibly slow, the "kitchens" have little to no dishes. Breakfast food is awful and not fresh. Pay per use laundry, the staff appear unorganized, and the rooms are very loud due to local traffic and other major road ways. The rooms are very cold no matter how high you set the temperature, the rooms are cleaned 4 days in a row so your supplies arent restocked including soaps, toilet paper, dish soap, ect ect. All around awful experience, I spent 21 days in this hotel and would never suggest it to anyone.

The location is quite good - just off 400 and Steeles Avenue looked like one of the most happening streets (all the way down) in the area with many restaurants, gas stations, plazas etc.
